HR Advisor
Location: Europoort, Rotterdam
Hours per week: Full time, 36,25 hours
Your department
As HR Advisor you will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, which is responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to an internationally dedicated client base. The main purpose of your role will be to provide a first point of contact within the HR Department and to support the HR team in developing, managing, monitoring and reviewing communication, performance, reward and recognition, relations and resourcing and other HR related organisational matters, both internally and externally promptly and efficiently.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for employment contracts and all related confirmation letters, chasing references and providing induction’s for all new starters;
- Arrange probation period reviews and appraisals, send appropriate forms to managers and chase accordingly;
- To monitor temporary contracts, inform managers and chase accordingly;
- You will deal with employee requests like mortgage and rental reference request and completing benefit agency forms;
- To take part in Human Resources-related projects and provide assistance, views and feedback when required;
- Update and maintain the staff database and providing statistical HR-reports when required;
- To update and maintain the HR policies and procedures and to monitor the on boarding and off boarding processes and provide feedback when required;
- To contribute to the continuous improvement and efficiency of HR systems and strategies;
- Dealing with sickness absence administration and providing case management in cases of long term illnesses. Offering assistance in reintegration programs;
- Dealing with recruitment; placing advertisements, arranging selection interviews and all other administrative tasks related to recruitment;
- Conducting exit interviews with employees who are leaving and completing reference requests from new employers;
- Interviewing for junior and administrative roles and providing management with feedback and advice about applicants;
- Act in accordance with, all P&O Ferrymasters policies.
Who are you?
As HR Advisor you take responsibility, ownership and possess excellent communication skills.
So you:
- Have at least two years of specific work experience as HR Advisor
- Completed Human Recourse study including Labour Law course
- Have strong affinity with an international organisation
- Are a real team player
- Have very good knowledge of Dutch and English language
